What is Mimo?
Mimo was founded in early 2023 by Henrik Grim, Alexander Segerby, and Andreas Meisingseth with the goal of helping SMBs control cash flow with payments on their terms. Since the beginning, we've maintained high velocity, released a private beta, expanded to 8 team members, and secured funding from elite angels and top institutional investors. However, we've only just begun.

About the role:

As a product designer at Mimo, you'll be joining a small, highly skilled team with the mission to help small to medium businesses take back control of their cash flow with easy payments on their terms. You will play an important role in shaping and defining our product, brand, and strategy while collaborating closely with other passionate product builders. You're responsible for translating our business objectives and user needs into effective, visually pleasing design solutions that enhance our users' financial journeys.

UX/UI Design: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Create intuitive user flows and information architectures to ensure a seamless user experience.

Visual Design: Create visually appealing on-brand designs and maintain a consistent design language to ensure consistency across all our digital platforms.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the founding team of founders, engineers and designers to align on product vision, design goals and participate in close conversation with our current customers to ensure the right user requirements.

Design Systems: Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides. Ensure consistency and scalability in design deliverables while optimising for efficiency and speed.

Who we’re looking for:

You have previous experience (6+ years) working as a product designer or similar, building and maintaining digital products. You thrive when working in a high-velocity startup environment and are not afraid of going outside of your comfort zone to learn and execute on new projects.

Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise in designing products.

Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Framer. (Experience with prototyping is important.)

User Research: Solid understanding of user research methodologies, including conducting interviews, usability testing, and analysing user behaviour to inform design decisions.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. (English)

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to deliver successful design solutions.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a high-velocity startup environment and adapt to evolving priorities and deadlines.
