What is Mimo?

Mimo; Money-in and Money-out, was founded in early 2023 to become the one tool for global payments, cash flow management & financing. Mimo empowers small to medium businesses to save time and money, with full control of their finances. Since the beginning, we've maintained high velocity, released a private beta, expanded to +15 team members, and secured funding from elite angels and top institutional investors. However, we've only just begun.

Software Engineering at Mimo:

Engineering is the core Mimo, as we believe the best product (implicitly engineering) is the foundation of the best companies. We tackle complex problems (such as cross-border payments mixed with business lending) and must absorb the complexities of the financial world in a consumer grade experience.

We are looking for senior or staff level engineers to join our engineering team of 7, growing to 10+. Most of us engineers have held senior engineering roles at either large public tech companies like Spotify and iZettle/PayPal, or at scale-ups such as Epidemic Sound, Anyfin and Pleo. Our stack is GCP, Postgres, Temporal, Go & Typescript.

What we expect from you when working at Mimo:

• Dependable; as in we can depend on you (with the team) to take complex problems and find feasible solutions balancing technical quality and time to deliver.

• Striving for impact; our engineering efforts only hold value when customers benefit from what we deliver to them in terms of a product ‘that just works’.

• Being curious; not limited to technology but the broader aspect of Mimo (product, customer, the general business). We are building the company & product together.

• Hands on when needed, driving large initiatives when needed; we are all hands on coding for a majority of our time, but we also need to tackle large initiatives that span across the company or product from time to time.
  
  

Who you are:

• You know what great software engineering looks like when developing a product, because you have seen & done it before

• Most likely because you’ve held senior engineering roles (e.g., senior/staff) at product companies with a great engineering department.

• You work across the stack, or hold expertise in either web, backend or infrastructure engineering.

• You want to work from an office (central Stockholm).
